Lake Texoma Fishing Report-A Day on Lake Texoma with Striper Guide Justin Parker

We like to break down a typical Striper Fishing Trip so our clients know what to expect.  The trip will start at Alberta Creek Marina and depending on the season pretty early in the morning.  The hotter the weather gets on Lake Texoma, the earlier we need to start.  We will fish live bait most of the season, but at times artificial lures will rule on Lake Texoma.  I get up very early and make sure we have enough live threadfin shad for the trip.  We are always happy when the bait is easy to catch, and sad when it takes 3 hours to get enough shad to make a successful trip.  All you will see is my 28 foot Silver Dollar Boat loaded up with rods, reels, lifejackets, and threadfin shad!  We will meet and chat about the trip, and load up the boat.  A dry run or practice session is helpful before we get to our first spot!  I will show you how to drop a live bait rig and how to reel in a fish without bringing the egg sinker to the rod-tip.

Hunting Striper with Guide Justin Parker-Lake Texoma Fishing Report

A Striper Fishing Trip on Lake Texoma is more like hunting than fishing.  We can move a lot during the day until we find a school of fish ready to eat.  At times we will anchor in deep water, and other times we will set up long drifts with the wind.  Don’t be shocked if we move 2-3 times before we start catching Striper!  Once we locate Striped Bass that are hungry, the action can be non-stop for an hour.  Once we reach our legal limit of Striped Bass on Lake Texoma we will motor back to Alberta Creek Marina.  For more information on the Legal Striper Limit on Lake Texoma please follow Frequently Asked Questions.  Once we get back to Alberta Creek Marina, I will clean, fillet, and bag your catch.  We like to get a few pictures for social media, then we suggest lunch at Alberta Creek Cafe!  We think you will enjoy a Striper Fishing Trip on Lake Texoma with Guide Justin Parker, and Alberta Creek Marina!  For more information please follow: Lake Texoma Fishing Guide Justin Parker.
