Lake Texoma Striper Fishing
Eighty-nine thousand acres of freshwater, fishing, boating, swimming, camping, and RVing all come together at Lake Texoma. Only 85 miles from Dallas and 130 miles from Oklahoma City, Lake Texoma sits on the border between Oklahoma and Texas and has much to offer as a vacation destination.
Boasting record striper fishing, Texoma’s salt content for a freshwater lake makes it perfect for the striped bass’ spawning and living habitat. Texoma is host to too many fish varieties to name them all.
Other amenities that surround the water are picnic pavilions, hiking trails, golf courses, cabins for rent, motels/hotels, casinos, spas, and retail shops, providing everything one might want in a vacation destination.
Wildlife of all kinds make their home at Lake Texoma and enjoy the serenity of natural wooded areas surrounding the lake.
Another local attraction is the Red River, which forms the border between Texas and Oklahoma and meanders peacefully along 540 miles of twists and bends. A favorite fishing spot is the Red River just below the Denison Dam, where the flow is almost totally dependent upon dam releases at the lake, where hydroelectric power is generated. This usually results in better flows during the hot summer months, when the demand for electricity is higher.
Of course, the flow is also influenced heavily by the amount of rainfall received at any given time. The water is usually clear and unpolluted as it leaves Lake Texoma Dam and anglers will find an abundance of alligator gar, channel, blue and flathead catfish, striped, spotted, white, hybrid and largemouth bass.

Lake Texoma Fishing Guides-NASCAR Striper Trips?
Here is what you WILL NOT GET with Lake Texoma Fishing Guide Justin Parker, a NASCAR Trip! We do not rush out catch a limit of Striper then race back to Alberta Creek Marina and tell clients the trip is complete. We show customers why Lake Texoma is the Striper Capital of the World! If we reach our legal limit of Striped Bass and clients want to continue to catch and release, that’s great! Our Lake Texoma Striper Fishing Trips generally last 5-6 hours.A Day on Lake with Lake Texoma Fishing Guide Justin Parker
We like to share a typical summer day of the water with Lake Texoma Fishing Guide Justin Parker so our clients know what to expect. I will call you the day before our scheduled trip to set the meeting time and location. In the summer we like to start at first light, so be prepared to get up early. The meeting location does not change very much, and you will enjoy Alberta Creek Marina and Resort. Now that we have the time, 6 AM and location, Alberta Creek Marina, make sure you get some rest so you can catch Striper in the morning. We will be fishing live bait on this trip, but do not worry, I’ll have the bait tank loaded with freshly caught threadfin shad! Clients arrive at 5:45 AM and we load up my 28 foot Silver Dollar Boat and get ready to catch Striped Bass. I like to show my customers how to fish with live bait on a practice run before we get to the first fishing spot. We will stop the boat and I will show customers the rods and reels and how to drop live bait. We will also show clients how to reel in a striper making sure to stop before the egg sinker gets to the tip of the rod. Now that we have had some practice, it’s time for action. Lake Texoma Striper Fishing Trips are more like hunting than fishing. We will stop at spots and set up drifts. Sometimes the first spot is a jackpot, sometimes not. We will continue to cover water moving in our boat from spot to spot until we find a good school of Striper that are hungry. This can take one stop or multiple stops! Once we find hungry Striper, hang on, the action is fast and furious! Once we reach our legal limit of Striper on Lake Texoma and our clients are ready to call it a day, we motor back to Alberta Creek Marina. We will take some pictures to share on social media and then I clean and fillet your catch. I will bag the fillets and thank you for a great day on Lake Texoma! We suggest a nice lunch at Alberta Creek Marina Restaurant after the trip to cap off a great day Striper Fishing on Lake Texoma!FAQ-Lake Texoma Fishing Guide-Justin Parker
